Podcasting is a way of extending your reach through voice. It can range from a simple audio message, to a sophisticated Internet Radio Presence.
You want to offer your readers as many options and opportunities to enjoy your postings as possible. Some prefer to receive announcements by e-mail, in which case they can subscribe through Feedblitz, simply by entering their e-mail address in the Subscribe me! box at the upper right of this page.
They may also want to subscribe by capturing the RSS feed of your blog, clicking on Subscribe to this blog's feed, and then selecting the RSS reader of their choice. In this way, they can read all updates to your blog in a single place, by opening the RSS reader page.
However, the advantage of subscribing by Feedblitz is that you don't have to remember to visit the page, but receive all updates in real time. That way you don't miss out on time sensitive announcements, and you can enjoy the serendipity of receiving posts that might be relevant to you at that particular time. You can also save all of the posts to a particular blog in a special folder you create on your e-mail program.
Feedblitz has another feature, and that is that if you click on the audio link on the lower right at the very end of the post, it will read the post aloud in a surprisingly natural voice. Not the author's voice, but nevertheless easy to listen to. This can be useful to people who prefer to take in information by ear, to people who might be visually impaired, and to people who are reading English as a second language.
The audio link appears on the right next to the word Related in this screenshot shown here above, as it does at the end of each post sent to you when you subscribe by Feedblitz.
You can also cancel your subscription anytime, so why not give it a try by subscribing to this blog now, and see what serendipity will bring you.
